Saint Luke’s Hospital (Kansas City, Mo.). Saint Luke’s Mid America Heart Institute comprises 60 cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons and critical care physicians. In 2017 the hospital received American Heart Association’s Mission: Lifeline Center Gold Recognition Award and Lifeline Center Silver Award for quality improvement efforts. Blue Cross Blue Shield Association also recognized the hospital, designating Saint Luke’s Mid America Health Institute as a Blue Distinction Center for cardiac care and heart transplant surgery. U.S. News & World Report ranked Saint Luke’s Hospital among the top 50 hospitals in the country for adult cardiology and heart surgery in 2017-18.
