Virginia Hospital Center (Arlington)
Virginia Hospital Center opened in 1964 and was one of the area’s first cardiac rehabilitation programs. The hospital is a 342-bed nonprofit, teaching facility and was named one America’s top 100 hospitals and 50 top cardiovascular hospitals for 2014 by Truven Health Analytics — the only hospital in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area recognized by Truven Health Analytics this year. It is also designated as a Magnet hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center for nursing excellence.
