Scripps Health is the largest provider of cardiology and heart surgery services in San Diego. Its heart failure center includes one of the first physicians to become board certified as a heart failure specialist. Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla (Calif.) was recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the top 50 hospitals in the nation for cardiology and heart surgery in its 2014-15 rankings.
