The John Wyckoff Adult Cardiology Clinic, which opened its doors nearly a century ago, formed the basis for the Division of Cardiology at NYU Langone Medical Center. The center was renamed the Leon H. Charney Division of Cardiology in 2002 and has developed a reputation for providing excellent cardiac care. NYU Langone Medical Center was ranked one of the top 15 hospitals in the nation for cardiology and heart surgery in U.S. News & World Report‘s 2013-14 rankings. The hospital has also received Magnet recognition from the American Nurses Credentialing Center for nursing excellence.
