Opened in 2001, the Genesis Heart Institute includes a cardiac interventional program that has grown significantly and offers percutaneous coronary interventions. In 2013, Genesis was among 13 of 300 hospitals reporting to an American College of Cardiology registry with readmission rates post-PCI that were lower than the national average. The hospital is a Blue Distinction Center+ for cardiac care and it received Magnet designation for nursing excellence from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
