Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center is ranked among U.S. News & World Report’s top 50 hospitals for cardiology and heart surgery for 2014-15, the only nationally ranked hospital in Wisconsin for this specialty. It is also ranked as the third best hospital overall in Wisconsin. Aurora features the 7th largest robotic heart center in the world. Additionally, the hospital performed the first heart transplant in the Midwest in 1968. Aurora St. Luke’s features four heart specialty centers addressing adult congenital heart disease, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, Marfan syndrome and valvular heart disease. It is also Magnet-accredited and designated as a Blue Distinction Center.
