Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (Martinez, Calif.). Contra Costa’s Cancer Program has received an Outstanding Achievement Award from the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer twice, first in 2009, when it was one of only three programs in the state to receive the award, and again in 2015, when it was the only program. The program treats about 350 new cancer patients each year and receives about 4,000 total patient visits to its outpatient infusion clinic annually. It received full accreditation from the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer in 2007.
