Rady Children’s Hospital (San Diego). Rady Children’s Hospital is home to 10 surgeons and four fellows who treat patients at the hospital’s spine, hip disorders, cerebral palsy and sports medicine centers. In 2016, the hospital recorded 65,310 visits to its orthopedic and rehabilitation clinics. Surgeons at Rady Children’s 20,000-square-foot orthopedic and rehabilitation hospital made history in May 2013 by performing the first scoliosis correction with magnetic rods for pediatric patients. Since then, the hospital has remained on the forefront of orthopedic treatment and research through its Orthopedic Biomechanics Research Center, which currently hosts 10 clinical trials. U.S. News and World Report ranked Rady Children’s Hospital the No. 3 hospital in the nation for pediatric orthopedics in 2017-18.
