Lancaster General (Pa.) Health. Lancaster General Health supports its own hospital-affiliated orthopedic center, LG Health Orthopedic Center, which opened in 2003. The hospital’s 35 orthopedic surgeons performed more than 2,700 joint replacement surgeries in the 2017 fiscal year and helped Lancaster General Health become one of 13 organizations in the world to earn the prestigious International Geriatric Fracture Society certification. LGH is a Blue Distinction Center+ for knee and hip replacement surgery and was ranked No. 4 in Pennsylvania by CareChex for major orthopedic surgery in 2018.
