Michael Langberg, MD. Senior Vice President for Medical Affairs and CMO of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (Los Angeles). Dr. Langberg leads Cedars-Sinai’s patient safety and clinical quality efforts as senior vice president of medical affairs and CMO. He also oversees bioethics, resource management and physician credentialing in addition to the health system’s healthcare-acquired infection prevention and epidemiology efforts. A general internal medicine physician by training, Dr. Langberg has experience testifying before the U.S. Congress on patient safety and quality issues and has presented to the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, Health Management Academy and National Patient Safety Congress. He is a past member of the California Hospital Association’s Board of Trustees and serves as a permanent member of the California Department of Public Health’s Healthcare-Associated Infection Advisory Committee.
