Yampa Valley Medical Center (Steamboat Springs, Colo.). Founded in 1946, Yampa Valley Medical Center is a nonprofit independent community hospital. The hospital completed a $13 million internal renovation in 2010, adding 32,000 square feet to its family birth place and surgical services areas. In 2015-2016, the hospital underwent an additional expansion to become a 39-bed facility capable of treating more than 51,000 outpatients annually. Truven Health Analytics named Yampa Valley Medical Center among the 100 Top Hospitals in the nation in 2017 and the National Rural Health Association also honored it as a Top 20 Rural Community Hospital
