West Valley Medical Center (Caldwell, Idaho). Established in 1920 as Caldwell Sanitarium, West Valley Medical Center has grown into a 150-bed facility and one of the state’s largest employers with around 700 employees and 200 providers on the medical staff. Surgeons at the hospital perform more than 7,000 procedures annually and the hospital includes a 19-bed behavioral health inpatient unit. West Valley Medical Cetner sees more than 32,000 emergency room visits per year and in 2016, 576 babies were delivered there. Truven Health Analytics named West Valley Medical Center among the 100 Top Hospitals for the fourth year in a row in 2017
