Newberry (S.C.) County Memorial Hospital. Newberry County community members created the Newberry County Hospital Association in 1923 to fund and plan the opening of Newberry County Memorial Hospital in 1925. The general medical and surgical hospital houses 90 beds with 52 beds in service. Healthgrades awarded Newberry County Memorial Hospital its Outstanding Patient Experience Award for 2016 and 2017 and the Joint Replacement Excellence Award for the third consecutive year in 2017.
