Mercy Hospital Washington (Mo.). Originally established as St. Francis Hospital in 1926, Mercy Hospital Washington moved under its parent company, St. Louis-based based Mercy, in 1976. The 148-bed acute care hospital employs more than 233 physicians and saw 39,369 emergency department visits in fiscal year 2016. The Leapfrog Group assigned Mercy Hospital Washington an A grade for preventing medical errors, accidents and infections for spring 2017.
