HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Breese (Ill.). An affiliate of Hospital Sisters Health System, HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Breese opened more than 100 year ago. In 1875, 20 Hospital Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis traveled from Germany to Illinois to provide care for the sick and poor, which eventually grew into the Hospital Sisters Health System. In 2015, Truven Health Analytics named the hospital to its Top 100 Hospitals list and this year Practice Greenhealth honored HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Breese with the 2017 Partner for Change Award.
