8 latest hospital, health system executive resignations

Becker's Hospital Review reported on the following hospital and health system executive resignations in the last week. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.

1. New Brunswick, N.J.-based Saint Peter's Healthcare CEO Ronald Rak is leaving his post.

2. Gastonia, N.C.-based CaroMont Health President and CEO Doug Luckett resigned unexpectedly.

3. Greensburg, Ind.-based Decatur County Memorial Hospital President and CEO Linda Simmons left her post, effective April 3.

4. Scott Wolf, DO, president of Springfield, Mass.-based Mercy Medical Center and its affiliated services, resigned, effective March 31.

5. Louisville, Ky.-based Baptist Health CEO Steve Hanson left his post.

6. Garry Scheib is leaving his roles as COO of the University of Pennsylvania Health System and CEO of the Philadelphia-based Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

7. Broomfield, Colo.-based SCL Health President and CEO Michael A. Slubowski is leaving for a leadership role at Trinity Health in Novi, Mich.

8. Summit Pacific Medical Center, a critical access hospital in Elma, Wash., announced its CEO Renee Jensen decided not to renew her contract.
