Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Novant Health has named Kyle Bridges, a former congressional staffer with more than 15 years of experience in public policy and government affairs, senior vice president of government relations.
Mr. Bridges will lead the health system’s government relations and public affairs strategy, according to a Sept. 22 Novant news release. He will work with elected officials and Novant Health leaders on policies that affect how patients access and experience care.
He will also support the Novant Health Center for Public Policy Solutions. The center produces research, white papers and policy recommendations based on the experiences of patients and clinicians, and its work feeds into state and federal policy debates.
Before joining Novant Health, Mr. Bridges held senior staff roles with North Carolina’s congressional delegation. He served as a state director in the U.S. Senate and as a district director in the U.S. House of Representatives. He previously led community, business and government relations for Charlotte Center City Partners.
“Kyle has a deep understanding of the policy landscape and a strong track record of bringing people together around solutions to complex challenges,” Novant Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer Kelli Ferry said in the release.
