7 latest hospital, health system CEO moves

The following hospital and health system CEO moves were reported by Becker's Hospital Review in the last week. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.

1. Mishawaka, Ind.-based Saint Joseph Health System named Chad W. Towner CEO, effective Oct. 14.

2. After around one month as interim CEO of Manchester, N.H.-based Elliot Health System, Gary Muller has left the post.

3. Baton Rouge (La.) General/General Health System President and CEO Mark Slyter stepped down from his roles.

4. Conemaugh Health System in Johnstown, Pa., named Steve Tucker CEO of the system, effective immediately.

5. New York City-based NYC Health + Hospitals made four appointments to its senior executive leadership team.

•    William T. Foley was named CEO of NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi in New York City
•    Alina Moran was appointed CEO of NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan in New York City
•    Maureen Pode, RN, BSN, is the new CEO of NYC Health + Hospitals/North Central Bronx in New York City
•    Christopher Roker was named the CEO of NYC Health + Hospitals/Queens in Jamaica, N.Y.

6. Southern Coos Health District named Jim Wathen interim director of Southern Coos Hospital and Health Center in Bandon, Ore., following former CEO Charles Johnston's termination.

7. Gifford Health Care in Randolph, Vt., named Dan Bennett president and CEO, effective Oct. 3.
