13 latest hospital, health system CEO moves

The following hospital and health system CEO moves were announced or made in the last week. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.

1. Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based Adventist Health System named Jim Boyle interim CEO of Central Texas Medical Center in San Marcos.

2. Cameron Memorial Community Hospital in Angola, Ind., appointed Connie McCahill president and CEO.

3. Marsha D. Rappley, MD, was named Virginia Commonwealth University vice president for health sciences and CEO of the VCU Health System in Richmond, effective Aug. 15.

4. Edgewood, Ky.-based St. Elizabeth Healthcare named Garren Colvin president and CEO.

5. Hutchinson (Kan.) Regional Medical Center President and CEO Kevin Miller resigned.

6. Thomas DeFauw, president and CEO of McLaren Port Huron in Port Huron, Mich., plans to retire by Oct. 1.

7. Martinsburg, W. Va.-based University Healthcare named Anthony P. Zelenka president and CEO.

8. Coral Gables (Fla.) Hospital appointed Patrick Downes CEO.

9. Helena (Ark.) Regional Medical Center appointed Leah Osbahr CEO, effective July 1.

10. John Hughson is the new CEO of Alpine, Texas-based Big Bend Regional Medical Center.

11. Jim Bogan was named interim CEO of Upper Peninsula Health System-Marquette (Mich.).

12. Brian Livingston, MD, current vice president of medical affairs for Swedish Medical Center's First Hill campus in Seattle, was appointed CEO and vice president of medical affairs for Swedish Medical Center's Ballard campus, also in Seattle.

13. MedicalCenter of Lewisville (Texas) named LaSharndra "Sharn" Barbarin CEO.
