5 things to know about St. Elizabeth Healthcare’s newly named CEO Garren Colvin

Edgewood, Ky.-based St. Elizabeth Healthcare has named Garren Colvin president and CEO.

Here are five things to know about Mr. Colvin.

1. Mr. Colvin has been with St. Elizabeth for 32 years.

2. Most recently, Mr. Colvin served as interim president and CEO.

3. Mr. Colvin has also served in the following roles at St. Elizabeth:  vice president of finance, senior vice president and CFO, and executive vice president and COO.

4. During his tenure with St. Elizabeth, Mr. Colvin had a significant role in the merger of the former St. Luke Hospitals and St. Elizabeth Medical Center in 2008, forming what is now known as St. Elizabeth Healthcare. He also provided expertise during the consolidation of Patient First and Summit Medical Group into St. Elizabeth Physicians in 2010.

5. Mr. Colvin earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and business administration from Thomas More College in Crestview Hills, Ky., and a master’s degree in business administration from Northern Kentucky University in Highland Heights.
