12 latest hospital, health system CEO moves

The following hospital and health system CEO moves were announced or made in the last week. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.

1. Memorial Hospital in Martinsville, Va., named Michael D. Ehrat CEO. His new position will begin March 16.

2. Chad Melton was named CEO of Wythe County Community Hospital in Wytheville, Va.

3. Parker, Ariz.-based La Paz Regional Hospital named Robert Libberton CEO.

4. Kim Milstien, former chief of Simi Valley (Calif.) Hospital, will serve as CEO of Ventura (Calif.) County Medical Center beginning March 1.

5. Gary, Ind.-based Methodist Hospitals appointed Raymond Grady as president and CEO, effective Feb. 23.

6. Tim Sughrue, CEO of Rapid City (S.D.) Regional Hospital and Regional Health Network and COO of Rapid City, S.D.-based Regional Health, will retire March 31.

7. San Ramon, Calif.-based Hill Physicians Medical Group CEO Darryl Cardoza will retire at the end of March.

8. James Connolly, president and CEO of Schenectady, N.Y.-based Ellis Medicine, is retiring.

9. Saundra Stevens, CEO of Adams County Regional Medical Center in Seaman, Ohio, gave notice of her intent to retire May 1.

10. Andalusia (Ala.) Regional Hospital appointed John C. Yanes CEO, effective March 2.

11. Chicago-based Presence Health named Kathleen Rhine regional president and CEO of Presence St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, Ill., and Presence St. Mary's Hospital in Kankakee, Ill.

12. Boston-based Partners HealthCare named its next CEO: David Torchiana, MD, current chairman and CEO of the Massachusetts General Physicians Organization.
