The New Hampshire Health Information Organization, the state-wide health information exchange organization, has connected electronically with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

The collaboration will enable exchange of healthcare information between hospitals and healthcare providers in the state providing care to veterans both within and outside the VA. It will help ensure there is no information-related disconnect between receiving care at a VA facility and a non-VA facility.

“This is a big win for NH Veterans,” says Jeff Loughlin, NHHIO’s executive director and U.S. Army veteran. “This connection helps to remove some of the barriers in communication and care faced on a daily basis.”
