Technology jobs consistently rank among the top paying positions. A report from job information website Glassdoor identifies the top 25 paying companies, and the vast majority of them — 20 companies — are technology firms.
Juniper Networks, a network security and performance company, was the highest paying technology company, with a median total compensation of $157,000. It was No. 3 on the list of 25 top paying companies, coming behind consulting firms A.T. Kearney ($167,534 median total compensation) and Strategy& ($160,000).

"This report reinforces that high pay continues to be tied to in-demand skills and higher education, which in part, is why we see several companies on this list among the consulting and technology industries," said Andrew Chamberlain, PhD, chief economist at Glassdoor. "In technology, we continue to see unprecedented salaries as the war for talent is still very active, largely due to the ongoing shortage of highly skilled workers needed."
Glassdoor compiled the report using information employees voluntarily reported to Glassdoor over the past year.
