The hospital currently uses Cerner’s EHR system. As part of the recently expanded relationship, Cerner will also implement its clinical and financial IT systems at Reading, Pa.-based Penn State Health St. Joseph, formerly St. Joseph Regional Health Network.
“Having one integrated platform will support our efforts to create seamless coordination and collaboration among our departments and venues of care,” said Penn State Health CFO Stephen Massini in a statement. “Incorporating clinical data into our revenue cycle processes will enable a better experience for our patients and providers and enhance our ability to holistically manage our patients’ financial responsibility.”
