Pamplona Capital Management to merge MedAssets Revenue Cycle, Precyse; Navigant to strengthen RCM business & more – 5 RCM company key notes

Here are five recent news updates on healthcare revenue cycle management companies.

Health IT vendor Clinicient has raised $5 million to expand its rehab revenue cycle management services, according to a Form D document filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Government contractor and health IT provider Document Storage Systems won a contract to fix the Veterans Affairs problematic non-VA fee basis claims processing and management system.

Orthopedic Institute of Wisconsin, based in Milwaukee, chose McKesson Business Performance Services to implement a full range of revenue cycle management services.

Navigant will add more than 70 McKinnis consultants to strengthen its existing revenue cycle management arm.

Investment manager Pamplona Capital Management made a financial investment in Patientco. Pamplona's investment includes a commercial deal to embed Patientco's capabilities into Pamplona's MedAssets Revenue Cycle and Precyse businesses. Pamplona acquired MedAssets RCM and Precyse in 2015, and the businesses will be merged this year.
