Texas hospital reopens after 3-year closure

The former Cleveland (Texas) Regional Medical Center, shuttered three years ago, reopened Aug. 16 as Texas Emergency Hospital, LMTonline reports.

The medical center closed in late August 2014 after struggling for years to remain open, according to a Houston Chronicle report.

The hospital is part of five medical centers owned by Cleveland, Texas-based Cish Operations. While TEH's emergency department is operating, Cish Operations is in the second phase of updating the facility. The second phase will feature more inpatient beds and services, LMTonline reports.
