Boston Children’s Hospital’s Innovation & Digital Health Accelerator. The Innovation & Digital Health Accelerator’s goal is to extend the reach of Boston Children’s Hospital expertise through collaboration between clinical care, data analytics and software development experts to vet digital health ideas from inside and outside the organization. The team supports and commercializes these inventions — focused on clinical decision support and remote care, among other topics — to bring to the market. One project, called the HealthMap Foodborne Dashboard, uses social media to help public health officials improve foodborne illness surveillance. The accelerator’s partners include Cerner, Uber and Boston-based Harvard Medical School’s Department of Biomedical Informatics.
