Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center’s Technology Ventures Office (Boston). The Technology Ventures Office evaluates and supports Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center faculty’s innovative ideas. The innovation center’s goal is to connect these faculty with entrepreneurs, investors and companies who can help translate their ideas into market-ready inventions. The office also provides support related to intellectual property, technology development and sponsored research, confidentiality and licensing agreements. In one collaboration with Takeda Chemical Industries, BIDMC investigators developed therapies targeting metabolic diseases like diabetes and obesity.
