The HCA-managed hospital will move most of its services to Hendersonville (Tenn.) Medical Center, approximately 20 miles away, according to The Tennessean. 60 employees will be affected by the consolidation and closure.
Portland will continue to operate a medical office building with services such as outpatient imaging, medical labs and occupational medicine.
Another 50 individuals will lose their jobs next year when HCA’s Nashville-based subsidiary TriStar Health System eliminates about 50 administrative and management positions, The Tennessean reports.
