The strike is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. Thursday, June 10. As many as 12,000 nurses are expected to participate.
Hospital officials plan to bring in thousands of replacement nurses to care for emergency and other urgent cases, according to the report. Many facilities have begun rescheduling elective procedures scheduled for Thursday.
