Southeast Arizona Medical Center Lays Off 18

Southeast Arizona Medical Center in Douglas, Ariz., has announced 18 layoffs, according to a Sierra Vista Herald report.

The layoffs come months after a management agreement with Sierra Vista (Ariz.) Regional Health Center to assist the financially struggling Douglas hospital.

Southeast Arizona Medical’s CEO, Brian Bickel, believes some layoffs will occur immediately and others by March 1. Individuals released will receive a transition package.
