Ontario, Calif.-based Prime Healthcare has issued a warning about a recent scam whereby “unauthorized individuals” have impersonated the health system by offering fraudulent jobs or have contacted them with fake employment opportunities.

“It has come to our attention that unauthorized individuals are impersonating Prime Healthcare on LinkedIn and other platforms to post fraudulent job offers and contact individuals about fake employment opportunities,” Prime said in an April 23 LinkedIn post. “We take these incidents seriously and are actively working with LinkedIn to address the issue. If you have been contacted by someone claiming to represent Prime Healthcare and suspect suspicious activity, please report it immediately to our LinkedIn messages.”

Prime stressed that all legitimate employment opportunities from the health system are listed on their career page. It also does not conduct interviews or offer employment through messaging apps, third-party platforms or unofficial email addresses.

“We will never ask for personal financial information or request payment as part of a job application process,” the post said.
