Novant to invest $300M in bonuses, raises

Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Novant Health plans to award more than $300 million in bonuses and pay increases in 2025.

The health system invested nearly $250 million in its workforce in 2024, according to a Feb. 24 system news release. The 2025 investment includes bonuses for eligible employees and base pay increases, including market rate adjustments. 

Novant Health also offers a $17-per-hour minimum wage and tuition reimbursement.

“We believe supporting team member well-being through competitive compensation goes hand in hand with creating a healthier future for our communities,” President and CEO Carl Armato said in the release. “When our team members thrive, our patients and communities thrive.”

Novant Health operates 19 hospitals and more than 750 physician clinics and urgent care locations.
