Boone, N.C.-based UNC Health Appalachian has launched a student loan repayment program to support early-career healthcare workers.
The initiative will offer up to $30,000 for those entering nursing, physical therapy and imaging roles, according to a March 30 health system news release. The program requires a 2–3 year employment commitment and is designed to strengthen the system’s workforce across its hospitals and clinical sites.
The system developed the program in partnership with Clasp, an education-to-employment platform focused on building healthcare talent pipelines.
