Minneapolis Hospital Cuts 233 Jobs

Park Nicollet Health Services, based in St. Louis Park, Minn., has announced it will cut 233 jobs and leave 69 open positions unfilled, according to a report in the Star Tribune.

The 233 jobs are equivalent to 118 full-time positions, according to the report. The hospital also said it plans to combine the roles of some leadership positions, make employees take two weeks’ unpaid leave before the year’s end and drop its retirement plan matching program for 2009.

The hospital previously laid off 233 employees in Dec. 2008.
