Weymouth, Mass.-based South Shore Health has warned job seekers about a fraudulent career website and scammers that are impersonating the system’s talent acquisition team via email and text message.

“Our team is actively addressing this issue through the appropriate channels to shut down the website and communications in question,” the health system said in an Oct. 5 LinkedIn post.

South Shore flagged its real career website and email addresses to protect job seekers from fraud.

The health system also said the talent acquisition team would not share WebEx links with people via text message and would never ask a potential employee for their Social Security number, banking information or funds to purchase job-related equipment.

The nonprofit health system comprises Weymouth-based South Shore Hospital, Norwell, Mass.-based South Shore Medical Center, Rockland, Mass.-based South Shore VNA, Health Express, South Shore Health Foundation and The Friends of South Shore Health, according to its LinkedIn page.
