Maryland medical center seeks 20 healthcare workers

Garrett Regional Medical Center in Oakland, Md., will hold a job fair to fill 20 clinical and support positions, according to a Parsons Advocate report.

The 55-bed medical center, an affiliate of Morgantown, W.Va.-based WVU Medicine, has part-time, full-time and per diem positions available. Available jobs include emergency medicine physician, behavioral health nurse practitioner, behavioral health mental health counselor, admissions representative and medical social worker. Garrett Regional, which employs 450 people, is also offering sign-on bonuses of up to $7,500 to fill licensed practical nurse and registered nurse roles.

The job fair will take place alongside a health screening from 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 15 at the Davis (W.Va.) Volunteer Fire Department.
