Lakeland (Fla.) Regional Health. Lakeland Regional Health is a nonprofit system with more than 5,000 full- and part-time employees. The system’s flagship facility is Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center, an 849-bed, comprehensive tertiary referral hospital. In 2016, Forbes recognized Lakeland Regional Health on its “America’s Best Midsize Employers” list for the second consecutive year. The health system, which offers many employee perks such as an on-site massage therapist and a family health clinic for staff, also received the Gallup Great Workplace Award in 2014 and 2015.
