Reid Physician Associates, representing medical practitioners employed by Reid, absorbed one Richmond practice in 2007, but that number grew six-fold in 2008, when Reid opened a 233-bed replacement hospital.
The hospital’s vice president of medical affairs said younger doctors apparently aren’t interested in long work hours, overseeing staffs and dealing with health insurers.
