Five SHSU nursing students received the first fellowships from HMH, which will provide them training in the hospital. Students will be paid for their training. In turn, the students will commit to two years of employment at HMH.
Under the program, students will hold the fellowships through their last semester until six months after their graduation, at which point they will become staff nurses at HMH in the unit they trained in.
