Healthcare Job Vacancies Rise in August

Online job postings for healthcare practitioners and technicians increased by 26,300 during August to 513,700 advertised vacancies, according to a report by The Conference Board.

Occupations that experienced August gains included registered nurses, speech-language pathologists, licensed practical and vocational nurses, family and general practitioners and occupational therapists.

Despite the increases during August, demand for healthcare occupations (as determined by online job ads for vacancies) is down 98,800 since the beginning of the year.
