Healthcare employment rose by 35,200 in May, in line with the 12-month average of 38,000 monthly job gains, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
The bureau released the jobs report June 5.

1. Ambulatory healthcare services employment rose by 25,700 in May, including a 10,900 gain in home health services.
2. Hospitals added 6,000 jobs in May, while employment in nursing and residential care facilities jobs climbed by 3,500.
3. Overall, the U.S. added 172,000 jobs in May, including gains in leisure and hospitality, local government, and healthcare.
