A LinkedIn survey of 6,197 professionals conducted between Dec. 14 and Jan. 24 found that 27% of Generation Z employees have already switched industries or are actively looking to do so.
More experienced workers were less likely to consider an industry switch, with 17% of millennials, 13% of Generation X and 10% of baby boomers actively looking.
Among those seeking new roles, 42% said they are considering an industry change, while 14% said they are actively looking or have already switched. Those not in changing industries made up 44% of respondents.
About half of U.S. workers plan to seek a new role in 2025, according to a previous LinkedIn News survey.
