The hospital lost $120 million in the fiscal year ended June 30 and has seen declines in patient admissions, according to the South Florida Business Journal.

In addition to a poor economy, Boca Raton’s struggles are magnified by a failed investment of $50 million to build a teaching hospital at Florida Atlantic University and a struggling new $73 million cancer center, according to The Palm Beach Post.
