McLeod Loris Healthcare Lays Off 48

McLeod Loris (S.C.) Healthcare will lay off 48 works as part of a restructuring and financial pressure, according to a Sun News report.

The health system operates Loris Community Hospital and Seacoast Medical Center in Little River, S.C. In November, Loris Healthcare System approved an affiliation with Florence, S.C.-based McLeod Health.

The health system “anticipates” adding workers back if economic conditions improve, according to the report.
