The hospital said it posted the first job openings on its career site and plans to post more intermittently throughout the rest of the year. Children’s officials said the jobs will be a part of the more than 600 positions to support the new facility and will add to current Children’s employees providing pediatric expertise at UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central in Colorado Springs.

The employees at Memorial Central will move to the new hospital, slated to open next spring as the first pediatric-only hospital in the region.

As of July 17, Children’s had posted nearly 100 openings in Colorado Springs, about half of them positions at the new hospital. There are openings in the pediatric-only emergency department, pediatric operating rooms and intensive care units, as well as in nonclinical roles such as scheduling, billing and reception.
