Overall, over the past four years, the Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based health system’s workforce has grown from 70,000 to 100,000 team members as it has opened or acquired additional hospitals, freestanding emergency departments and primary care locations, according to a Feb. 11 news release from the system. More than half of AdventHealth’s employees have been with the organization for longer than a decade.

The health system noted that employees donated to support colleagues affected by Hurricanes Milton and Helene and volunteer tens of thousands of hours annually.

“We are not only growing in number but also in the impact we have on delivering whole person care to every person, every time,” Olesea Azevedo, senior vice president and chief administrative officer for AdventHealth, said in the release. “Each and every one of our 100,000 caring hearts plays a critical role in our mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ.”

AdventHealth includes 51 hospital campuses and hundreds of care sites across nine states.
