On May 1, the American Nurses Credentialing Center recognized the inaugural five organizations to earn its Well-Being Excellence credential.
The ANCC debuted the credential in December, allowing hospitals and health systems to assess their well-being programs and efforts for nurses and other employees.
The first five healthcare organizations to receive the credential are BayCare Health System in Clearwater, Fla., Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C., Kaiser Permanente’s Mid-Atlantic region headquartered in Maryland, Launceston General Hospital in Australia, and MedStar Health in Columbia, Md.
“I am truly encouraged to note the leadership of these pioneering organizations in obtaining this innovative credential,” ANCC President Laura Wood, DNP, RN, said in a news release. “I look forward to seeing more organizations eager to pursue this qualification, given its evidence-based framework and aim to cultivate a culture of well-being within a given workplace and throughout extended communities.”
