Cities in the region have seen more job growth between 2018 and 2023 than other areas of the U.S., according to recent data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
These five job “hot spots” added the most workers since 2018:
1. Dallas/Fort Worth/Arlington, Texas — 436,290 jobs added
2. Houston/The Woodlands/Sugar Land, Texas — 239,960
3. Phoenix/Mesa/Scottsdale, Ariz. — 237,428
4. Austin/Round Rock, Texas — 226,689
5. Atlanta/Sandy Springs/Roswell, Ga. — 213,112
