Northside Medical Center in Ohio to Lay Off 77

Northside Medical Center in Youngstown, Ohio, an affiliate of ValleyCare Health System of Ohio in Youngstown, will lay off 77 employees, according to a WFMJ report.

System officials cited federal sequestration and the “complexities of healthcare reform” as the reasons the layoffs are necessary, according to the report. The layoffs will affect union and non-union employees.
